How to Schedule Facebook Posts From Your Phone (iPhone or Android)

To schedule Facebook posts on iPhone, open the Meta Business Suite app (not the regular Facebook app), tap the pencil icon to create a post, write your caption, then tap "Schedule" instead of "Post Now" and pick a date and time. The steps to schedule Facebook posts on Android are identical since Meta Business Suite runs the same interface on both.

Why you need a separate app

The main Facebook app has no built in scheduler for personal profiles or most Pages. Meta moved that function into Meta Business Suite, a free app from Meta that manages your connected Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts in one place. If you only ever use the standard Facebook app, you will not find a scheduling option no matter how long you tap and hold.

You do need a Page, or a personal profile with professional mode turned on, to schedule posts this way. Personal profiles without professional mode still have to post in real time from the phone.

Step by step on iPhone or Android

  1. Download Meta Business Suite from the App Store or Google Play if you do not already have it.
  2. Log in with the same account connected to your Facebook Page.
  3. Tap the plus icon or pencil icon to start a new post.
  4. Write your caption, add photos or video, and preview how it will look.
  5. Instead of tapping "Post Now," tap "Schedule" and choose your date and time.
  6. Confirm, and the post moves to your scheduled content queue.

Meta caps how far ahead you can schedule from mobile at about 29 days, so this works well for a week or two of content but not for planning an entire quarter in one sitting.

When mobile scheduling is not enough

Meta Business Suite only touches Facebook and Instagram. If you also post to LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, X, YouTube, or Google Business Profile, you end up bouncing between apps to schedule the same idea five or six different ways. That is the exact problem Posted Once solves: write a post once and schedule it to all ten platforms at the same time, from your phone or your laptop, without opening a separate app per network.

If you are drafting on the go, run your caption through the Facebook character counter first so you are not trimming text after the fact, and check the best time to post tool before you lock in a schedule slot. When you are ready to stop juggling apps, create a free Posted Once account and connect your Facebook scheduler in a couple of minutes.
