How to Schedule a Facebook Video Post (Not a Reel)

For a standard video post on a Facebook Page, not a Reel, open Meta Business Suite, go to Content or Planner, start a new post, and upload your video file directly instead of choosing the Reel format. Add your caption, thumbnail, and any tags, then click Schedule and set your publish date and time.
Standard video versus a Reel
Facebook now treats organic video broadly under one umbrella since Reels absorbed most standard video distribution, but you can still upload and schedule a video as a regular feed post rather than through the Reel creation flow. This matters if you have a longer video that does not fit Reels' short-form format, or if you simply want it presented as a standard post in the feed rather than in the Reels format and layout.
Why organic video length is not the constraint it used to be
Since Meta's video and Reels merge in 2025, organic video posted to a Facebook Page no longer has the roughly 90 second cap that used to apply broadly. That 90 second limit survives only for paid Reels ad placements, not for organic content you post and schedule normally. If you are working from older guidance that mentions a 90 second organic cap, it is out of date for standard Page posting in 2026.
Scheduling the upload
After uploading, Business Suite runs the video through processing before it is ready to publish, so give it a few minutes after upload before confirming your schedule, especially for longer files. Once processing finishes, set your date and time and confirm, and the video sits in your Planner queue until it publishes automatically.
Choosing where it publishes
You can schedule the same video to a single Page or, if your Instagram account is connected, share it there too from the same upload, saving a duplicate upload step for content you want to run on both platforms.
Fitting video into your regular content plan
Batch your video uploads for the week or month, then queue them with a Facebook scheduler alongside your image posts and Stories, so video does not become the one format that always needs separate manual attention.
